A Sacrifice of Praise

July 3, 2021

(Heb 13:13-16 KJV) Let us go forth therefore unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach. 13:14 KJV) For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 13:15 By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to Almighty continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices Almighty is well pleased.

[Are we without the camp? Most of us stand as individual witnesses for Yahweh and Yahshua in our neighborhoods, having no set-apart building to invite others into for seasons of worship. Yet – we can use our lips to spread the knowledge of His great love for those who will submit to His rule. How do we do this? Publicly thanking Him for our food and using His name so there is no doubt who you are praising. The writer of Hebrews plainly states it is Yahweh and Yahshua’s name that is to receive our thanksgivings. We are able to say what we want so if we refuse His name and insist on titles are we not doing what the producers of our copies of scriptures have done for centuries, adding and taking away from scripture? When we change a thing we either add something or we take something away.]

(Act 5:38-42 KJV) And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: 5:39 But if it be of Almighty, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against Almighty. 5:40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Yahshua, and let them go. 5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Yahshua Messiah

[There are many among us who claim Yahweh and Yahshua’s names are to be so honored that common man should not utter them. Here we have the disciples of Yahshua rejoicing over being punished by a group that agrees with those of today that their names should be rarely spoken’]

(2Ch 7:6 KJV) And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of Yahweh, which David the king had made to praise Yahweh, because His mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.

(Psa 106:1 KJV) Praise ye Yahweh. O give thanks unto Yahweh; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.

(Psa 50:22-23 KJV) Now consider this, ye that forget Almighty, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. 50:23 Whoso offereth praise magnifies Me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of Almighty.

[Because His mercy endures forever we are to offer Him praise. When we no longer offer praises to and in His name we will forget His name and teach others to do the same. Can our conversation be right in our Creators eyes if we are refusing to use His name and teaching others to do the same?]

(Isa 12:1-6 KJV) And in that day thou shalt say, O Yahweh I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. 12:2 Behold, Almighty is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for Yahweh Yahweh is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation. 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. 12:4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise Yahweh, call upon His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted. 12:5 Sing unto Yahweh; for He hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. 12:6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Set-apart One of Israel in the midst of thee.

[After chastisement comes comfort. When we have been comforted we are to sing praises to our comforter by NAME. Our salvation comes from Yahweh not our efforts, for you can do all things right and if you do not worship Yahweh it counts for nought in eternity. Yes you will be blessed in this life and that alone should make it worth your while but add eternal salvation and what more would you ask?]

(Eph 5:17-21 KJV) Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Most High is. 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Most High; 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto Almighty and the Father in the name of our Master Yahshua Messiah; 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of Almighty.

[In these verses the Lord is speaking of Yahweh for it speaks of the supreme, except in verse 20 where it refers to Yahshua. In today’s world most would read this as Yahshua though out, and that is what most churches do, their hymnals are heavy on praise for Yahshua with a short list praising Yahweh.]

(Col 1:9-12 KJV) For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Most High unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of Almighty 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to His mighty power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness; 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

(Jas 1:17 KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

[Not that we should not praise Yahshua, but that we understand all good things come from the Father Yahweh.]

(Col 3:15-17 KJV) And let the peace of Almighty rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 3:16 Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Most High. 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Master Yahshua, giving thanks to Almighty and the Father by Him.

[We are to be filled with the words of scripture, not men, thereby receiving a correct understanding of the will of Yahweh. Our artistic endeavors should be directed so as to direct our thanks to Yahweh through Yahshua.]

(1Pe 4:10-11 KJV) As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of Almighty. 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of Almighty; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which Almighty giveth: that Almighty in all things may be magnified through Yahshua Messiah, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

(Rev 5:9-14 KJV) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to Almighty by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 5:10 KJV) And hast made us unto our Almighty kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and magnificence, and blessing. 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and honor, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped Him that liveth for ever and ever.

[1Peter tells us that Yahweh will be magnified, honored, though Yahshua. Revelation tells us all was made possible by His own blood. Yahshua will receive His reward when He returns to bring us home. Until then we are to continue to praise and receive instruction from Yahshua who directs all to praise the Father.]

(Hos 14:1-9 KJV) O Israel, return unto Yahweh thy Almighty; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to Yahweh: say unto Him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. 14:3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy. 14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. 14:5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. 14:6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. 14:7 They that dwell under His shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. 14:8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is Thy fruit found. 14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of Yahweh are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

[Hosea reminds us again that our sacrifice should be the praise of our lips, admitting that Yahweh is the only savior. If we are doing righteousness others will learn of Them from the praise of our lips in daily conversation as well as formal song, poetry, etc.. So let us study scripture and share all we learn by speech, example, literature, or any means that magnifies Yahweh’s name, and who and what He is.]
