New or Renewed

Part 3

April 10, 2021

[The biggest difference I can see between the Renewed and the Old at this point is the attitude adjustment in walking out Yahweh’s instructions.]

(Mat 6:1-4 AFV) "Beware that you do not bestow your alms in the sight of men in order to be seen by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father Who is in heaven. 6:2 Therefore, when you give your alms, do not sound the trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. 6:3 But when you give your alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 6:4 So that your alms may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret shall Himself reward you openly.

(Isa 58:7-10 AFV) Is it not to give of your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and not hide yourself from your own flesh?

(Isa 58:8 AFV) Then shall your light break out as the dawn, and your health shall spring out quickly; and your righteousness shall go before you; the magnificence of Yahweh shall be your rear guard. 58:9 Then you shall call, and Yahweh shall answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, 'Here I am.' If you take the yoke away from among you, the pointing of the finger, and speaking malice; 58:10 And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in darkness, and your gloom shall be as the noonday.

(Exo 22:22-23 AFV) You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. 22:23 If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry.

(Psa 68:4-6 AFV) Sing to Almighty, sing praises to His name; extol Him who rides upon the clouds Whose name is Yahweh, and rejoice before Him. 68:5 In His set-apart habitation Almighty is the father of the fatherless and the judge of the widows. 68:6 Almighty gives the lonely a home to dwell in; He brings out those who are bound with chains, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

[I know there are charitable organizations and governments to feed, clothe, and house the poor but scripture is very clear His people are to be the forefront of the fight to take care of the children and women who have no support. Those organizations can take care of the bodies needs but not the needs of the heart, that is also the job of Yahweh’s children. What a living testimony of His love to those who are not receiving love from mankind.]

(Mat 6:5-6 AFV) And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, in order that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward.

6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into a private room; and after shutting the door, pray to your Father Who is in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret shall reward you openly.

(Isa 26:20 AFV) Come, My people, enter into your rooms and shut your doors around you; hide for a little moment, until the fury has passed by,

[Do we have prayer closets? A small dedicated space for worship and prayer? Not everyone lives alone so such a space may have to serve more than one person, but we all have times when that space is a haven when the world comes crashing down on your head. It is really a place of comfort and safety.]

(Mat 6:7-9 AFV) And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that by multiplying their words they shall be heard. 6:8 Now then, do not be like them; for your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him. 6:9 Therefore, you are to pray after this manner: 'Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name;

(1Ki 18:26-29 AFV) So they took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, "O Baal, hear us." But there was no voice, nor any who answered. Then they leaped upon the altar which was made. 18:27 Now it came to pass at noon Elijah mocked them and said, "Cry aloud with a great voice, for he is a god. Either he is meditating, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey. Perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened!" 18:28 And they cried with a loud voice and cut themselves with knives and lances until the blood gushed out upon them. 18:29 So it came to pass when midday was past, and when they prophesied until the offering of Elijah's oblation, there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor anyone who paid attention.

[Yahweh does not require us to make a show of our selves, nor does He accept any blood sacrifice but that of animals and that only on the altar dedicated to Him alone.]

(Mat 6:10-13 AFV) Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven; 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread; 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors; 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.'

(Isa 63:16 AFV) For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us. You, O LORD, are our Father, our Redeemer; Your name is from everlasting.

[If there are obedient children of Yahweh on earth His will is being done, and our bellies are full.]

(Jer 31:7-9 AFV) For thus says Yahweh, "Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations. Cry out, give praise and say, 'O LORD, save Your people, the remnant of Israel.' 31:8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country and gather them from the corners of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; a great company shall return there. 31:9 They shall come with weeping, and with prayers I will lead them. I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way; they shall not stumble in it, for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn."

(Deu 15:1-2 AFV) "At the end of every seven years you shall make a release. 15:2 And this is the manner of the release: Every man who has a loan to his neighbor shall release it. He shall not exact it from his neighbor or from his brother because it is called Yahweh'S release.

[Because mankind has never been wholly willing to obey this requirement the government has been led to give us the 7 year bankruptcy laws.]

(Deu 8:2 AFV) And you shall remember all the way which Yahweh your Almighty led you these forty years in the wilderness in order to humble you, to prove you, to know what is in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 8:3 And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger, and then He fed you with manna which you did not know, neither did your fathers know it, so that He might make you know that man does not live by bread alone; but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh does man live. 8:4 Your clothing did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. 8:5 And you shall consider in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so Yahweh your Almighty chastens you.

[Even when the children are disobedient Yahweh does not leave then to look after their selves but supplies their basic needs.]

(Mat 6:16-18 AFV) And when you fast, do not be as the hypocrites, dejected in countenance; for they disfigure their faces in order that they may appear to men to fast. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. 6:17 But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 6:18 So that you may not appear to men to fast, but to your Father Who is in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret shall reward you openly.

(Lev 16:30-34 AFV) For on that day an atonement shall be made for you, to cleanse you, so that you may be clean from all your sins before Yahweh. 16:31 It shall be a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever. 16:32 And the priest whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement and shall put on the linen clothes, the holy garments. 16:33 And he shall make an atonement for the set-apart sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar; and he shall make an atonement for the priests and for all the people of the congregation. 16:34 And this shall be an everlasting statute to you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for their sins once a year." And he did as Yahweh commanded Moses.

[The Day of Atonement is the only day we are commanded to fast and that is a fast to set us free from the demands of the physical so we can concentrate on the spiritual.

Any time we are faced with an important decision where the moral path is not plain would be a good time to fast. Sometimes the morality is plain but there is a fork in the road, and both are acceptable but what is the best in light of the pathway you already know is of Yahweh. Here is another time to fast. No matter the reason we are not to appear sad, discouraged, or fearful, but we are to show joy that Yahweh is working out the problem because we have given it to Him.]

(Mat 6:19-24 KJV) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve Almighty and mammon.

(Zep 1:17-18 KJV) And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against Yahweh: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. 1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of YAHWEH’S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of His jealousy: for He shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

(Isa 2:20-21 KJV) In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 2:21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of Yahweh, and for the magnificence of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

[If we will open our hearts, eyes, and ears to hear and heed these warnings we will no longer be praying for riches which will not follow us into eternity, nor can we be sure we will be able to hold onto them in this life. Rather we will pray to heed scripture that our lives be not only pleasing to Yahweh but used of Him to further His kingdom. Wealth in things is a great responsibility for the holder since it is given by Yahweh for the good of His children. When used selfishly it can steal all that is really important in the life of the joy it was meant to give.]

(Mat 6:25-34 KJV) Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 6:30 Wherefore, if Almighty so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of Almighty, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

(Psa 55:22 KJV) Cast thy burden upon Yahweh, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

(Lev 25:18-22 KJV) Wherefore ye shall do My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety. 25:19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety. 25:20 And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase: 25:21 Then I will command My blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years. 25:22 And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.

(Psa 37:23-26 KJV) The steps of a good man are ordered by Yahweh: and he delighteth in His way. 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for Yahweh upholdeth him with His hand. 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 37:26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

[We all look forward when we are not wallowing in the past. Yahweh has promised and Yahshua has testified to the supply for Yahweh’s people when they are walking in obedience. Yes we plan for the future by plowing the soil and sowing the seed but the increase is in Yahweh’s hands. Since I have been a believer my cupboards have never been bare, lean sometimes due to circumstances but that is just because of humans not Yahweh’s lack. Many try to bring the blessings of Lev. 25.21-22 forth today in the good old USA. This is not the place of promise for this country is not Israel, old or new. Nevertheless, Yahweh has made promises to His children that are not dependent on location, but are dependent on our heart attitude. He will bless those who worship Him for they are His obedient ones. He brings them into the light that they might testify of His greatness and mercy, sometimes for long periods, other times just for the edification of one other person that will be touched to follow their example.]

(Luk 15:10 KJV) Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of Yahweh over one sinner that repenteth.

[Let us rejoice as well and welcome them in.]
