[I am in Chronicles and there is so many times the people and the leaders are called to 'stand and be counted'. I believe we are living in an era where Yahweh is calling His called out ones to stand and be counted. There is so much controversy over times and season and the appropriate manner to carry them out. ]

(Act 24:5 KJV)  For we have found this man [Paul] a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

[Paul is accused of two crimes:

Sedition – treason against the state

ringleader of a sect – leads a group who does not agree with the majority]

(Act 24:10-14 KJV)  Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself: 24:11 Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship. 24:12 And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: 24:13 Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the Almighty of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

Heresy G139 From G138; properly a choice, that is, (specifically) a party or (abstractly) disunion. (“heresy” is the Greek word itself.): - heresy , sect.

Total KJV occurrences: 9

[I myself have been expelled for this very thing. Most believe heresy is telling a lie. Really the word means we disagree with what the larger group is saying. Not necessarily all of what is taught but some point that is strongly held. As we continue to study and bring our lives into agreement with scripture, not man, we will be in disagreement with the majority. Does that make either of us evil? They hold with what has been delivered by their fathers, we by what we believe is the plain teaching of scripture. Let us pray for each other that Yahweh's truth be revealed to both groups. Let us not give the enemy a toe hold by feeling or expressing hateful words and emotions. Each of us has free choice. Each time we step up to be counted we gain courage to step forward quicker next time, and with a firmer stand. Fear feeds on fear and so does courage, each time you stand your feet and legs grow stronger and your heart grows closer to Yahweh and Yahshua our elder brother who leads the battle. Note in verse 12 that Paul was not causing a distubance in any place of worship, not even in the city. Neither Yahshua nor Paul went where they were not welcome to teach and neither should we.]

(Luk 18:6-8 KJV) And the Master said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 18:7 And shall not Almighty avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? 18:8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?

Faith G4102 From G3982; persuasion, that is, credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of Almighty [Almighty] or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ [Messiah] for salvation; abstractly constancy in such profession; by extension the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself: - assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.

Total KJV occurrences: 244

(Deu 32:18-20 KJV)  Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten Almighty that formed thee. 32:19 And when Yahweh saw it, He abhorred them, because of the provoking of His sons, and of His daughters. 32:20 And He said, I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

[Denying Yahweh or Yahshua' existence or claim on our lives shows how little we pay attention to what is real. It appears that the currant generation is also a forward generation – without faith. The Christian churches are filled to over flowing. Even as times become economically harder people will have things their way rather than give up the things of the world. As in times of old when Israel turned its back on Yahweh and His requirements – so it is to be in this land.]

(Hab 2:1-4 KJV)  I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 2:2 And Yahweh answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

[Those who stand in their own strength and wisdom are not upright in the sight of Yahweh. Those who have yielded their strength, meekness[willingly yielded strength], to Yahweh's cause shall have the strength of Yahweh and Yahshua to live by for they stand not on man's rules and loyalty, but in the blessings of obedience to Yahweh and belief in the cleansing power of Yahshua's shed blood for all who truly turn from the world into Yahweh's righteousness.]

(Jos 10:25 KJV) And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall Yahweh do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

[Are we listening? Yahweh is our defense when we defend Him and His teachings.]

(1Ch 22:11-13 KJV)  Now, my son, Yahweh be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of Yahweh thy Almighty, as He hath said of thee. 22:12 Only Yahweh give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of Yahweh thy Almighty. 22:13 Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which Yahweh charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.

[Joshua and David were both fearless leaders, one speaking to the nation, one speaking to his son, but both speaking the truth: if we will stand courageously for the truth of Yahweh and Yahshua they will stand with us. Not afar off, but in our hearts and minds to direct us.]

(Ezr 10:2-4 KJV) And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our Almighty, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing. 10:3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our Almighty to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our Almighty; and let it be done according to the law. 10:4 Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.

(Mat 5:31 KJV) It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Fornication G4202 From G4203; harlotry (including adultery and incest); figuratively idolatry: - fornication.

Total KJV occurrences: 26

[Ezra is dealing with marriages with wives who are engaged in idolatry and so is Yahshua. If we had big enough hearts we could safely forgive adultery in a truly repentant spouse, since our hearts have not always been true to our first spouse, Yahweh. To do so would bring condemnation from some calling us fools, but for the continuation of the family some have done so successfully and gladly. Let us not judge each family except our own, for we do not know what goes on within the walls of both house and hearts. The word fornication in the old testament deals strictly with adultery, but as is true will all words their usage and our understanding of them change even within one generation. Since Yahweh created language we can be sure His Son understood it plainly.]

(Psa 27:13-14 KJV) I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. 27:14 Wait on Yahweh: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on Yahweh.]

[Our courage is in ratio to our belief! I will have the courage to stand and be counted in direct proportion to my trust in Yahweh and Yahshua's words. We believe the words when applied to others, but when applied to self it is hard when we still see ourselves as weak! Do not believe the enemies lies, we are not what the world or our own opinion say we are. If we are to stand WE MUST BELIEVE WHAT SCRIPTURE SAYS ABOUT US AND OUR PLACE IN YAHWEH'S HEART! To believe is to trust the promises of imparted strength. We stand not in our human strength, but with His heart in us, and that is the heart of the fiercest warrior.]

(Psa 31:23-24 KJV) O love Yahweh, all ye His saints: for Yahweh preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in Yahweh.

[Hope H3176 A primitive root; to wait; by implication to be patient, hope: - (cause to, have, make to) hope, be pained, stay, tarry, trust, wait.

Hope is a verb – any class of words that express existence, action, or occurrence.

[It is not passive, as in one who is not active, but waiting to be acted on. Or accepting without resistance, in other words people please-ers who go with the flow hoping for acceptance.]

(Act 28:11-16 KJV) And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux. 28:12 And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days. 28:13 And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli: 28:14 Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome. 28:15 And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked Almighty, and took courage. 28:16 And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.

(Isa 41:1-4 KJV) Keep silence before Me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment. 41:2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to His foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? He gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow. 41:3 He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet. 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I Yahweh, the first, and with the last; I am He.

[Who indeed!!! Yahweh is the same today as He was yesterday and He will continue the same without end.]

(Isa 41:5-8 KJV) The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came. 41:6 They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage. 41:7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved. 41:8 But thou, Israel, art My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham My friend.

[Because they trusted they could stand and each would help lift up the limp arms and strengthen the weak knees because by tomorrow they might need the same or greater encouragement.]

(Isa 41:9-10 KJV) Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art My servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy Almighty: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness.

[ I Yahweh have spoken it! Why do we doubt that these promises are any less powerful today than they were in Abraham or Paul's day? Is it because we feel a lack of attachment? A lack of leadership? What is holding us back from the spiritual victories a living true believer should expect in their life?]

(Isa 41:11-16 KJV) Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. 41:12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. 41:13 For I Yahweh thy Almighty will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. 41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Yahweh, and thy redeemer, the Set One of Israel. 41:15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. 41:16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in Yahweh, and shalt glory in the Set-apart One of Israel.

Glory H1984 A primitive root; to be clear (originally of sound, but usually of color); to shine; hence to make a show; to boast; and thus to be (clamorously) foolish; to rave; causatively to celebrate; also to stultify: - (make) boast (self), celebrate, commend, (deal, make), fool (-ish, -ly), glory, give [light], be (make, feign self) mad (against), give in marriage, [sing, be worthy of] praise, rage, renowned, shine.

Glory G1391 From the base of G1380; glory (as very apparent), in a wide application (literally or figuratively, objectively or subjectively): - dignity, glory (-ious), honour, praise, worship.

[It would be nice if words meant the same exact thing in both Testaments! In verse 16 I would use either celebrate or give light in order to avoid using a word that is a derivative of the name of a false deity as we are not to have their names in our mouths. Again for the same reasons I would choose dignity, praise or worship in the New Testament. This is a personal choice!]

[Look at the promises – I will help thee – I will make thee sharp as steel teeth. We are promised a time after we have stood and been counted, a time to worship and praise the One giving us the victory. Do you trust those promises?]

(Isa 41:17 KJV) When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I Yahweh will hear them, I the Almighty of Israel will not forsake them. 41:18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. 41:19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: 41:20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of Yahweh hath done this, and the Set-apart One of Israel hath created it.

[All answered prayer is for these very reasons: that we come to trust Him who is the total answer, for all good resides in and emanates from Him, Yahweh our Father. When we are weak we can trust Him to be strong! When we lack courage we can still trust His promises to strengthen us. We are afraid because we listen to the enemy!]

(1Pe 5:6-11 KJV) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of Almighty, that He may exalt you in due time: 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 5:10 But the Almighty of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal honor by Messiah Yahshua, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 5:11 To Him be worship and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

[This lesson is for all who call themselves followers of Yahweh and Yahshua! All of us stumble and fall from time to time. When we repent and return forgiveness is fully granted and though are 'place' may not be restored at the same pace, or never, we still have a 'place' and that place is in the hearts of Yahweh and Yahshua! The only true place of safety!]
